For our mid-week wedding anniversary, we decided on a Covid safe getaway. It wasn’t quite the Bora Bora trip we had planned, but when I found this incredible gem of an Airbnb in Summerland, CA I knew it was the perfect pivot from our dreams of an above-water bungalow. We swam, read and ordered take-out while pretending we’d slipped away to Europe (thankfully the design made that part easy).
Okay seriously. When can I move in? Each corner was more unique than the last. I took quite a few design notes for my someday-home (particularly the gorgeous vintage DOORS).
The only thing that would have improved our stay is a larger bed. The bedroom holds a full bed, which is quite cozy, even for an anniversary getaway.
The owner resides in another wing of the house which was completely separate. It never felt like we were sharing a space or lacked privacy– though it probably wouldn’t be the place to go skinny dipping ;).
